Summers are getting hotter and dry.  Trees aregetting closer.  Subsidence claims are on the rise.  How are we toprotect ourselves from the globe warming, oh mercy me?

Putting foundation loads deeper places the loadsoutside of the yearly effects. Croft Structural + Civil have championed the useof Screw piles on projects.  Have a look see how easy they are to install.

The galvanised steel protects the stems and flutes in the ground and the piles is designed to a corrosion rate.  Stems are designed to be robust even after 60 years of corrosion.

Soil spoil produced from a screw pile is minimal.  The amount of muck away is limited.  When installed on brown field sites there is a much lower cost as fewer skips are used.

Who wants to go down a deep hole, only moles. Screw piles are great for installing against the side of foundations. quick toinstall, unaffected by Heave they are a great solution.   CroftStructural + Civil have drilled screw piles around the perimeter of housesmaking them stiffer, stronger and removing subsidence problems.

Who hasn’t had a Root Protection Area problem. You can’t build there it will damage the trees.  Croft Structural + Civilhave successfully built within RPA.  We design rafts that sit above theroots, the screw piles are put in, if roots are found the pile is moved. With our Finite element software the slabs can be quickly redesigned for thenew pile position.

Using £20K software to a little over the top, butwhen we have invested, and it is fast why not.

Screw piles come in all shapes and sizes.  Ourexperience has found that Screw piles work well on difficult accesssites.  The kit can be attached to a JCB arm, or by “hand”.
