MG Architects spent time and effort producing a scheme that provided a new modern outlook whilst fitting into the historic nature of the existing 3 storey, semi-detached Victorian property constructed with heavy masonry walls.

Croft was brought in due to its expertise in basement design and knowledge of Victorian design. Large openings were constructed to the rear of the house, with the new living area flowing outdoors to the balcony overlooking the garden and swimming pool.

Difficulties encountered on this project included constructing retaining walls under a substantial property, next to large existing trees with the consideration of the existing swimming pool.

Croft’s Knowledge of local ground conditions and reinforced concrete, along with our strong working relationship with the Architect and Basement Contractor helped to make this project a great success.
