Another reconfiguration and refurbishment project with Quartet Architecture, a four-storey mid Victorian terraced house located within the Chelsea Conservation Area.

A Basement Impact Assessment (BIA) was required to lower and extend the existing lower ground floor.  Croft has the skills and knowledge to provide these complex reports and were commissioned from the planning stage to final construction.

The focus was to enlarge the lower ground floor and increase the overall head height by 2.7 metres, extending the space below the garden to the rear.  Consideration was given to the A full height glass Crittall screen and door between the kitchen and lightwell, creates a lovely open space flooded with natural light.

A feature staircase was also introduced at the ground floor hallway down into the kitchen/dining area, creating a double-height volume and the illusion of being above ground.
