A former out-building housing a swimming pool was converted and extended to provide a modern residence on the grounds of a much larger estate.
The existing structure was constructed of laminated timber with glulam columns supporting deep glulam beams, spanning the full width of the pool. Croft Structural Engineers provided valuable expertise in the timber design and retrofitting of the structures to support a new cantilevered brise soleil across the front façade of the building.
Croft were also contracted to provide the design to the front extension.
