Croft Structural engineers worked with Quartet Architecture to convert this single fronted property into an impressive double fronted 3-storey house. The works comprised 3 storey side extension, a complete internal refurbishment and full width single storey rear extension.
The new side extension provides valuable space including a new bedroom, study, downstairs cloakroom and ensuite for the top floor bedroom. The single storey rear extension was designed to create a new open plan living/kitchen dining area. Croft designed structural steelwork to make it possible to have a cantilevered arrangement for the extension roof. This allowed for uninterrupted glazing to extend across the width of the extension and return around the side.
This is the second project that Croft has worked on in Routh Road where it has been converted from a single fronted property to a double fronted property.
