Being a Structural Engineer is a great profession with many different facets of work that one becomes involved in. Croft Structural Engineers mirrors this by providing a variety of services.
The production of drawings for construction work is the company's core work and all new designs from 2012 will be Eurocode-compliant. Before any structural design is completed a brief is reviewed with our clients, site visits and inspections are undertaken, structural calculations are defined for all elements, and only then are the drawings produced.
This approach can be applied to a variety of different projects from new builds, renovations, conversions and repairs. Croft has extensive basement knowledge, in the last three years we have completed 55 basement projects.
The practice has experience working with both network rail and London underground. We are aware of the differences working with these organisation hold.
Report writing, building surveys and inspections is the second core service provided. A range of reports can be arranged;
- Mortgage reports: Once initial surveys are completed Croft's expertise is often called for on the trickier properties.
- Subsidence reports: Croft can provide long and medium term monitoring of properties to correctly determine if subsidence is occurring.

Croft has a strong QA system to ensure rigour in our process.
On the Drawing Board
Currently we are working on the complete transformation of a Victorian property in North London. Scenario Architecture are creating a scheme provides a wonderful modern interior.
Croft structural Engineers have provided the alterations. We are currently designing the curved staircase. The works require 5 Party wall awards with various neighbours and this has been completed in-house.
