By purchasing the freehold of flats and other properties, developers are able to look at the potential to extend. This provides a perfect opportunity to consider adding additional storeys above or below the buildings.
Wilmer House was a collection of four blocks. Croft Structural Engineers were employed to complete a feasibility study into placing a further storey on top of the buildings.
Site surveys were completed and the existing structure and foundations examined. Croft managed to prove that the buildings were capable of the additional storey and provided scheme designs.
Our report increased the value of the properties and the developer sold the plots on.
