Victorian Rear Extension, Poplar Grove, Fulham
The project required an extension to the kitchen area into the side return. The architect had intended some good inherent designs: A green roof above the extension and some saw-tooth stairs. Croft Structural Engineers Ltd helped develop these items through to construction.
The rear doors were to be opened so that it would appear that the whole wall had been removed. Croft Structural Engineers Ltd designed extra slender columns to hide the glazing panels.
Saw-tooth stairs were required between the rear reception room and the kitchen. We designed and detailed this to the client's requirements.
