Victorian Basement & Side Extension,
Wandsworth SW18
Small rear addition to a well presented Victorian family home on Henderson Road, part of the 'Toast Rack'. This type of work is completed all over London on a regular basis, and Croft Structural Engineers has a breath of experience in this work.
On this occasion, the low head room required temporary propping works to be placed at the entrance to the first floor living space. As the client had just completed a £20,000 refit of the bathroom to this area, an alternative had to be engineered.
An ingenious temporary works detail was conceived by Croft Structural Engineers to eliminate the problem. A safe solution to the wall removal was produced that eliminated the need for any disruption to the bathroom above, while still maintaining headroom to the ground floor.
