Timber Frame New Build, London Inner City
A tight inner city site required the development of two new homes. Croft Structural Engineers provided the solution of a timber frame design. The client had not used one of these before and they were amazed at the cost savings provided.
Timber frame homes are prefabricated off site and placed on the foundations. The footings need to be very tolerant. The contractor had concerns about the setting out. Croft Structural Engineers help by setting out the building for them. While this is not a service we promote it shows the variety of skills available within the firm.
