Subsidence Work - Carlton Hill
This property was previously owner by one of the Monty Python Cast.
The property was Grade II listed and was suffering from subsidence caused by the nearby Plain Tree. The plain tree had a Tree Protection Order and could not be cut down. The insurers took the Council to court and the case went all the way to the Lords. Their decision was that the tree must stay and that the insurers had to underpin the building.
Croft Structural Engineers took on the subsidence work and provided the details of the repairs. Also we took the work to tender to 3 contractors and finallyl ran the project for the client.
Croft Structural Engineers Project managed the works and issued the necessary valuations and certificates of payment through the work.
On completion the client sold the property for an undisclosed sum. He now lives in Monte Carlo!
