Rear Extension and Loft Conversion,

Croft Structural Engineers worked closely with J7 Architects to ensure a high quality finish of this whole building refurbishment. This contemporary open space was created by adding a two storey rear and side extension and a loft conversion.
The challenges we encountered were with the poor ground conditions, which meant that the foundation designs had to be changed quickly to help prevent any construction delays.
Subsidence is an issue which we have to consider when dealing with certain soil types and nearby trees. We were able to use our expertise in different soil types to come up with an economical solution to construct the foundations.
