The Priory Hospital - Georgian Repairs,
Hayes, Bromley BR2

This lovely historic early Georgian property was originally a mansion house with family quarters on the ground and first floors. Above these were the servant quarters formed within the roof mansard.

The building had been bought and used by the Priory Group for treatment and consulting rooms. On the top floor administration offices were located. While the consultation and treatment rooms were of similiar loads to their original use, the administration areas had significantly increased the floor loads.

With our skills with historic buildings, Croft was employed to review the building. It did not take long to diagnose the problem that the floor joists were overstressed.

The repairs were simple; however we were restricted by the limited access into the consultation rooms. Croft rose to the challenge and supplied a design that fulfilled the brief.
