Light Industrial Building
Unfortunately the original warehouse had been destroyed by fire. The client required a new 40m x 12m warehouse of economic design.
Croft provided two services. The first was a condition survey after the fire to report on the existing structure. The second was the structural design, drawings, and calculations of the new warehouse.
This project was a commercial development; it was never going to be an architectural gem. Economy was the buzz word. We provided a light weight steel frame design, section sizes were minimised to reduce material costs, and connections were rationalised to reduce fabrication costs.
