MG Architects spent time and effort providing scheme which provided a new modern outlook whilst fitting into the historic nature of the existing building.
This house is a large semi-detached 3 storey property constructed at the end of the Victorian era with heavy masonry walls. Croft was brought in due to their expertise in basement design and our knowledge of Victorian design.
Large openings were constructed to the rear of the house and a balcony, the basement, creating a view into the back garden from the new living area.
Difficulties encountered on this project included constructing retaining walls under a substantial property, next to large existing trees with the consideration of the existing swimming pool.
Our Knowledge of local ground conditions and reinforced concrete, along with our strong working relationship with the Architect and Basement Contractor helped to make this project a great success.
