Chris Tomlin: Managing Director
Chartered Engineer
Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers
Most famous for his award winning team contribution to the Hungerford Bridge project (linking the South Bank to the Charring Cross), Chris Tomlin is a structural engineer in a class of his own. Approaching engineering problems with a fresh, invigorating eye, Chris’ strong architectural bias means that he takes a different approach to engineering solutions, incorporating visual perfection with structural necessity.
With a wealth of experience across a variety of projects and areas, Chris’ has the expertise to quickly assess problems, deliver solutions and provide the appropriate construction processes to fit your specific needs.
As a member of the Structural Institute, Chris sits on the assessment panel for entrance of new members into the Structural institute and regularly interviews potential new intakes.
He was on the winning competition team for the Hungerford Bridge project linking the South Bank to the Charring Cross.
Chris also provides Party Wall Advice and is a Party Wall Surveyor.
Phil Henry: Associate
Chartered Engineer
Member of the Institute of Civic Engineers
Phil is the technical Powerhouse to the company. He has a wide range of knowledge within the construction industry, which allows him to focus a measured approach to projects.
Phil’s most accomplished work to date is the completion of the entrance bridge to Houses of Parliament Visitors Centre.
Being a Chartered Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, Phil brings much welcomed variety into the Structural Engineering practice. Phil is working currently towards becoming a registered Conservation and Renovation Engineer CARE.
James Acheson: Project Engineer
Graduate Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers
James joined the company direct from Swansea University in 2008 and has since become our expert on basement designs. James has obtained a wealth of knowledge on the ground conditions around London. His expertise in dealing with Party Wall Surveyors and achieving an acceptable solution is second to none.
Pawel Rogalewicz: Project Engineer
Graduate Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers
Pawel has a strong knowledge of concrete design and is considered an expert in Prestressed concrete. Pawel joined Croft Structural Engineers Ltd after gaining experience in Cundall Johnson.
Asha Kumar: Project Engineer
Bachelors in Civil Engineering
Graduate Member of the Institute of Structural Engineers
Since joining the practice Asha also oversees Party Wall Notices and Awards. Asha has a strong background in concrete and steel design. She has worked for several large Engineering companies in England and India.
Ben Holmes: Project Engineer
Bachelors of Technology in Civil Engineering

Ben is a talented young engineer from South Africa. While in South Africa he gained knowledge on Residential concrete framed buildings. He has experience in storm water, drainage, and township development. His other skills are in lightweight steel frame industrial buildings.
Jon Schorah: Technical Draughtsman
Behind every great engineer is a greater draughtsman. Jon provides the technical knowledge to complete projects. Every drawing that leaves the practice will have been touched by Jon in some way. Jon has over 20 years experience in the construction trade.
Michelle Sealey: Office Manager
The hidden back bone of the company. Michelle provides the technical staff with the daily back-up required to maintain a smooth running company.
Gaynor Taylor: Accounts & Marketing
Gaynor is the unseen corner stone of the company. She maintains our finances on an even keel but keeping the day to day costs under control. Her other skill is in marketing and she maintains the information about new projects that is kept in our literature. One of her most obvious achievements has been the information on this website!
Jenny Tomlin: Financial Director
Jenny keeps the company accounts running smoothly and on an even keel.
