The spiral stairs on this project turned out to be particularly difficult. The initial idea had been to used precast stairs dropped into position. However these proved to be uneconomic. Croft structural engineers were able to pool their knowledge and draw the spiral stair stringer in such a way to allow for insitu construction. This significantly reduced the overall costs.
